What do you do when you don’t want to be stuck in Antarctic? Ask the Pullman company to build you a snow cruiser…

Take a break from winter and join the Historic Pullman Foundation and Pullman resident, Andy Bullen, for an account of the ill-fated, fascinating story of the Penguin. Created to conquer the frozen wastes in 1939 it quickly got stuck in the snow, and remains in the Antarctic to this day.

In this engaging talk we will look at images, films, and the only set of builder’s photos extant of the vehicle designed to be a mobile science lab and living quarters for explorers.

Members attend FREE, but please register so we know how many people to expect.

Join Historic Pullman Foundation at these casual presentations on the fifth Sunday of the Month. This series is a chance to learn more in-depth about Pullman history (the man, the town, the company).
