Plan a visit to Pullman on Labor Day Weekend 2021 for the Grand Opening of Pullman National Monument Visitor Center and Pullman State Historic Site Factory Grounds! We welcome the public to attend a celebratory weekend of events taking place throughout Pullman, organized by Pullman National Monument-National Park Service, Pullman State Historic Site-Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and many partners on Saturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5.

As part of the festivities, on Saturday and Sunday, Historic Pullman Foundation will host tours of historic Pullman-built railcars, sponsored by Amtrak, American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners, and Metra. Tickets will be available day-of on a first-come, first-served basis, by donation. Free tickets for tours of Pullman National Monument Visitor Center and Hotel Florence will also be available day-of. For all tour tickets, plan to stop at the Information Tent, which will be located at 111th and Cottage Grove Avenue.
HPF will also offer visitors self-guided tour maps of the historic Pullman district, which you will be able to pick up at the Information Tent.
At 1 p.m. on Sunday, Historic Pullman Foundation will host a meet-and-greet with artist Mitch Markovitz, who is creating a commemorative poster for the event. The event will take place at the Pullman Exhibit Hall, 11141 S. Cottage Grove Ave. Sale proceeds will benefit Historic Pullman Foundation’s efforts to preserve and support the Monument. Stick around after the event for a DJ and food trucks!
