In 1910, 56% of people living and working in Pullman (population: 8,193) were born outside of the United States. This was more than four times the immigrant population of America in general.
So, what were the experiences of people coming to America for the first time? What did they go through in traveling from the old world to the new? And what was it like living and working in Pullman? We’ll look at the stories and experiences of actual foreign-born Pullmanites.
